The backup battery lasts for about 3 years. Since some of our products use a volatile memory which only maintains its data while being powered, the data would be erased if the backup battery reaches its lifetime limit.
If you want to replace a backup battery periodically, contact your Kikusui agent or distributor when performing a periodic calibration. (The backup battery replacement is not free of charge and done by us or our service company because it requires to open the product cover.) To check whether your products have a backup battery, read the user’s manual (chapter of Maintenance or Specifications). The Kikusui’s main products with a backup battery are as follows:
