Notes

Firmware Update / Downgrade Procedure

You can update the product’s firmware by using a USB memory device.
The following models support downgrading from Ver. 2.XX to Ver. 1.XX:
TOS9300, TOS9301, TOS9302, TOS9303, TOS9303LC
(Note: Downgrade is not possible for TOS9301PD, TOS9311, and TOS93 series NRTL-compliant models, as they have been Ver. 2.XX from the initial release.)
Save the update files (Update.img, CHECKSUM.md5) in the root directory of the USB memory device. Do not change the names of the update files.

  1. Press SYSTEM > Admin > Firmware Update.
  2. Insert the USB memory device on which the update files have been saved into the USB port on the front panel, and then press Execute.
    An update screen appears.
  3. Press ENTER.
The update or downgrade process begins. Do not turn off this instrument while updating is in progress. Do not remove the USB memory device.
  4. If “Cycle the unit power…” is displayed, remove the USB memory device, and turn the product off and then back on.
The update or downgrade has been completed.

Notes on Downgrading to Older Firmware

After downgrading, features newly added in the latest firmware will no longer be available, and some operations may differ.
Please download and refer to the user’s manual for the older firmware version.

Cautions

For certain models, upgrading to Ver. 2.XX requires return-to-factory service.
Please check the attached table for affected serial numbers.
If you accidentally updated the firmware of your device from the website, the device may not start properly, and the update application will launch. In that case, you can restore the device to its original state by downgrading to firmware version 1.XX.
